What is genetic drug ?
When the human body has gene deletions or mutations, especially when key genes (such as p53 gene) are mutated, it can lead to illness! Gene drugs are drugs that carry and deliver target genes into receptor cells to achieve the goal of treating diseases.
Typical gene drug:
The first gene drug for cancer treatment in humans, Gendicine, carry and deliver healthy wild-type p53 gene into tumor cells of cancer patients. When the healthy p53 gene is expressed in tumor cells, its powerful function effectively induces tumor cell apoptosis.
